Relay Pump Spacing

Estimates pressure available at the next relay pump after hose friction and elevation effects, and flags whether the department's required pressure margin is met.

ℹVerify locally before acting. This tool is a planning and arithmetic aid, not a substitute for training, local SOPs, calibrated instruments, or scene assessment. Confirm critical values independently. Suite status: DRAFT - not yet department-approved for operational use.
When you'd use this: Pre-planning a long rural relay - for example moving water a mile from a static source to the fireground - to decide how far apart to space relay pumps so the receiving pump still has adequate residual pressure.

Segment Inputs

Minimum overlap/safety margin above target intake pressure - set per department policy.
